About Me

Welcome! Joyful Heart Yoga is now Yoga and Face Yoga. I'm Sandy Pradas (formerly Sandy Chute), and I'm here to offer my expertise in self-care to help you be the most vibrant, radiant version of yourself. Come here for yoga, face yoga, pain and stress relief, and skincare and makeup tips. My offerings are open to all, but they are especially suited for mature women and anyone who needs to be gentle with themselves. I've been on my yoga journey since 1999. As a serious yoga student, I am fascinated with the ability of yoga to make deep and lasting changes in people's lives. To me, yoga is not merely an exercise, but a way to quiet the mind so you can live in the present moment and experience life with more richness, color, and meaning.

My face yoga journey started during the pandemic, when lockdown and loss left me without the energy to do my daily yoga practice. I sat at my kitchen table with a cup of tea every morning and did face yoga. I started seeing improvements in my face within three days, but after a couple of weeks of daily practice, I was stunned to find that my energy and zest for life had returned. All of the work around my face, head, and mind had amazing mental health benefits just like yoga! I have since used this as a yoga therapy tool as well as a fantastic way to get a natural face lift.

I have been teaching yoga since 2001. I have a 200-hour certification from the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and a 500-hour yoga therapy certification from the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts. I am also a positional release therapist, Reiki master, certified Pilates instructor, and children's book author. In 2021 I became certified to teach the Danielle Collins Face Yoga method, and I’m also a Danielle Collins Super Trainer, which enables me to offer face yoga teacher training.

In my previous career I was a medical writer and researcher for 15 years. The combination of eastern and western knowledge has contributed tremendously to my work as a yoga teacher and therapist.
